LAST TIME OUT: Led by 20-point performances by Isaiah White and Dusan Majstorovic, UMaine routed Maine Machias 104-51 on Sunday afternoon at the Cross Insurance Center. A total of five Black Bears reached double-figures in scoring, as Maine dominated the game from start to finish.

THE SERIES: Sunday's matchup on Hawk Hill marks the first-ever meeting between Maine and Saint Joseph's.

A LOOK AT SAINT JOSEPH'S: Saint Joseph's enters Sunday's contest with a 4-5 record, and are coming off back-to-back losses to Big 5 foes Temple (81-78), and now No. 1 Villanova (94-53). While the Hawks boast a losing record, three of the five losses have come by six points or less. Four Hawks average double-figures in scoring, led by 16.7 points from Shavar Newkirk and 16.6 points per game from James Demery. Pierfrancesco Olivia, a native of Italy, averages 7.2 rebounds per game, while Demery and Taylor Funk add five boards per game. Just like the Black Bears, Saint Joseph's has battled the injury bug this year, with Lamar Kimble out for the season and Charlie Brown missing all nine games this season due to a wrist injury. As a team, Saint Joseph's average 74.9 points per game while shooting 41.3 percent from the field, while averaging 37.3 rebounds per contest.

WHITE OUT: In Isaiah White's second game back from injury, the redshirt sophomore made his presence felt with 20 points in just 13 minutes played. He shot a very efficient 8-for-10 from the field, with 2-of-3 makes coming from long distance. He added four rebounds, two assists along with a block and a steal in limited action.

RECORD WATCH: Over his last six games, Aaron Calixte has made 24 consecutive free throw attempts, (0-for-0 against Maine Machias, 5-for-5 against Dartmouth, UMPI 0-for-0, Fordham 7-for-7, Georgetown 4-for-4, and Quinnipiac 8-for-9) Calixte needs just eight more free throws to break Skip Chappelle's school record of 32 straight made in the 1960-61 season. On the season, Calixte has hit 90.7 percent of his free throw attempts (39-43), which ranks second best in the America East in and 41st nationally.

D-FENCE: Despite playing teams such as Boston College, Texas Tech, and Georgetown (combined 24-4 record), Maine ranks best in the America East in 3-point FG defense and 76th of 351 teams in the nation, only allowing opponents to shoot 31.2 percent from long distance. The Black Bears have also rank second in the conference in field goal percentage defense, with opponents scoring on 42.6 percent of their field goals.

BREAKING THE CENTURY MARK: Against Maine Machias, the Black Bears scored 104 points, the second-most points scored in a single game in the Bob Walsh era at UMaine. Maine reached 100-points one other time in the past four years, when the Black Bears scored 105 in a 105-100 overtime win over Hartford on Jan. 27, 2016. The last time Maine scored at least 100 points in regulation also came against Maine Machias, in a 113-49 dominating win over the Clippers in the 2011-12 season opener on November 14, 2011.
