ST. CATHARINES, Ontario -- Former Maine men's basketball player, Mike Allison, has re-signed with the Niagara River Lions of the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC) to a one-year deal.

The former Black Bear is entering his fourth season as a pro, last year, he averaged 6.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game with the River Lions. He also finished fourth in the NBLC in blocks with 1.3 per game and shot 76.3 percent from the free-throw stripe.

While at the University of Maine, Allison played four seasons from 2009-2013. He was selected to numerous America East conference teams including All-Defensive (2012 & 2013). He led the conference in blocks his junior season with 2.2 per game.
