The post-thanksgiving conference matchup will include an auction to benefit the Ashley Wade Foundation
ORONO, Maine - The Black Bears Women's Ice Hockey Team hosts New Hampshire in Auburn, Maine this Saturday at 7pm. The game will have special meaning as the team will be holding a benefit auction for the Ashley Wade Foundation, a foundation who's mission is to enrich the lives of children who suffer from chronic illnesses. The foundation is founded by Ashley Wade, a student who dreamt of playing college hockey, until she was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at age 17.
During the game on Saturday the team will be auctioning off special items, including a Boston Blades autographed t-shirt, and tickets to an NHL Boston Bruins game, with all proceeds going to the Ashley Wade Foundation.
