Women's Soccer Falls to Conference Rival Vermont

Orono, Maine-- The University of Maine Women's Soccer Team lost to the Vermont Catamounts 2-1 in Conference action on Thursday, October 8.
Vermont opened the scoring just eleven minutes into the game, with Catie Green scoring off a Header. Green would add another goal just one minute later, off a pass from teammate Annie Monaghan.
There would be no more scoring until the last five minutes, where Vivien Beil beat a Vermont defender and scored on a shot wide over the goalkeeper.
Maine goalkeeper Claudia Dube-Trempe made a total of eight saves, while Vermont goalkeeper Ally Ramos made six saves.
This loss puts Maine at 6-5-1 on the season. They will return home to host UMBC on Sunday, October 11 at 12pm.
