Men's Cross Country Takes Fourth at AE Championship

STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- The University of Maine men's cross country team placed fourth overall with 95 points at the America East Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31.
The men finished with an overall time of 2:09:23.95 and an average individual finishing time of 25:52.79.
Jesse Orach was Maine's top finisher, placing seventh with a time of 25:24.48. Levi Frye finished 14th at 25:39.68, followed close behind by Aaron Willingham in 18th with a time of 25:53.45.
Orach earned the league's Elite 18 award. The award, in its second year, is given to the top students competing in each America East championship. For cross country, the award goes to the top 10 finisher with the highest GPA.
The Black Bears are back in action on Nov. 13 at Franklin Park when they take part in the NCAA qualifier.
