Erin Magnuson '20 was named the Director of Athletic Development in April 2025.

Magnuson, who was a four-year member of the UMaine track and field and cross country teams, arrived back in Orono after serving as an admissions specialist at Gonzaga University. Magnuson also earned her master's in sports and athletic administration while at Gonzaga.

In her role as Director of Athletic Development, Magnuson provides the overall strategy, leadership and direction for the Alfond Fund, with a focus on growing the annual giving efforts.

Magnuson started at Gonzaga in 2020 and while in school, she worked as a graduation assistant in the kinesiology and sports management department. Additionally, from 2022-24, Magnuson was a brand manager as well as a content specialist at Spokane Sports.

The Ellington, Conn. native holds a bachelor's degree from Maine in English and a master's degree from Gonzaga in sports and athletic administration.
