Brianna Frey

After serving as interim head coach of the University of Maine cheerleading program in 2023, Frey was named head coach in the spring of 2024.

Frey, who served as assistant coach of the UMaine cheerleader team in 2022, led the team to a gold paid bid to nationals at NCA camp in 2023. In the role, Frey's focus on training athletes to excel at the collegiate level while fostering a positive and disciplined team culture.

Frey has been involved in the cheerleading industry for 21 years, both as an athlete and a coach. Frey cheered for the University of Maine Cheerleading program from 2018-2022. Her athletic career includes winning the D2 Summit Championship in 2018 with Element All Stars Chrome and the NCA Collegiate Nationals in 2021 with the University of Maine Cheerleading program.

Before joining the University of Maine coaching staff, Frey worked as a Speed Staff Instructor for the National Cheerleaders Association, coaching athletes of all ages across the country.

Frey is USA Cheer Safety and Risk Management Certified, Athlete Protection Certified, and CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified.
