University of Maine Athletics

Sara started working at UMaine in August of 2022. She is an assistant athletic trainer, working for the Women’s Ice Hockey team and the Cross Country/Track and Field team. 

Before working for Maine Sara was at the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana as a Graduate Assistant, working with the University's hockey and lacrosse team and providing coverage for the youth hockey program and the junior hockey team in town. It was there that she completed her Master's degree in Integrative Physiology and Athletic Training, from August 2020 to May 2022. 

Prior to that, Sara attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas from August 2016 to May 2020, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training. During her time in the athletic training program she worked with KU’s football program, and track and field team, along with working at another local college and high school. During her senior year, she worked with the Kansas City Mavericks, an ECHL team, and was with them for the entire season. 

While originally from Kansas, Sara has also lived in 5 different states and is a dual citizen with both the USA and Canada.
