Phil Currier

Phil Currier began his tenure at UMaine in August of 2022. Currier works as a sports performance coach with the women's ice hockey and swimming & diving programs while also serving as sports performance coach for the women's rugby club team.

Prior to his time at UMaine, Currier served as a graduate assistant coach at Plymouth State (N.H.) in 2021. Following his time at PSU, Currier interned with the strength and conditioning unit at Boston College in the summer of 2022 before officially joining the UMaine staff.

Currier took part in a three month stint as an intern with Dartmouth's strength and conditioning department in 2017. Following his stint at Dartmouth, Currier was the head performance coach at Athletic Performance Training in Massachusetts, a role he served from 2017 through January of 2021.

Currier graduated with a bachelor of science in exercise and sport physiology from Plymouth State in 2017. Currier has one roommate, Nala the cat. Outside of the gym, Currier enjoys hiking, camping and white water rafting.
