BEFORE MAINE: Selected in the first round, 30th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft ... competed for the Penticton Vees ... guided Penticton to back-to-back BCHL titles (2021-22, 2022-23) ... during the 2022-23 season, appeared in 54 games with Penticton where he tallied 45 goals and 68 assists for 113 points in 54 games ... led the BCHL in goals, assists, points per game (2.09), power play goals (18), power play assists (29), and game-winning goals (10) ... his 113 points was the highest single season total for Penticton since 2015-16 ... named Verne Dye Memorial Trophy recipient as the BCHL's MVP in 2022-23 ... tallied 35 of his 113 points in Penticton's 17 playoff games ... was the inaugural winner of the Jeff Tambellini trophy as the BCHL playoff MVP ... posted 20 goals and 26 assists for 46 points in 49 games during the 2021-22 campaign.
