Fabien Corbillon

Fabien Corbillion joined the Black Bears in January of 2025.

 

Corbillion, a former decathlete who has participated in multiple National Championships, joined the Black Bears with 20 years of coaching experience with stops at Kansas State, the University of North Texas, Texas State, Wright State, and Florida A&M.

 

While at Kansas State (Sept. 2022-July 2024), Corbillion mentored 2024 Olympic Gold medalist Eugene Omalla while also developing three regional qualifiers and three All-American honorees.

 

Prior to his time at Kansas State, Corbillion spent the 2015-2020 seasons at Texas State as the assistant men's and women's track & field and cross country coach where he played a leading role in guiding the Bobcats to three women's indoor conference titles, two women's outdoor title, and a men's outdoor and indoor championship. Individually, Corbillion coached 26 Sun Belt conference champions, 63 all-conference honorees, five All-Americans, 27 NCAA Regional qualifiers, and a pair of USATF National qualifiers. 

 

From 2006-2015, Corbillion served three seasons as assistant coach and six seasons as head coach at Wright State where he posted tremendous success for the student-athletes under his tutelage. In his nine seasons, he instructed 20 Horizon League Champions, 203 Wright State record breaking performances, nine Horizon league records, and the school's first-ever All-American and NCAA Regional qualifier.

 

Corbillion also captured titles while at Florida A&M, serving in a volunteer role for two seasons where he assisted the team in achieving the 2005 MEAC Men's Indoor and Outdoor championships along with numerous individual accolades and NCAA qualifiers.
