Biography

IN 2008–09: Saw action in 20 games for the Black Bears... Recorded an assist in Maine’s game at Vermont (11/29).

IN 2007–08: Saw action in eight games for the Black Bears... Was hampered with an injury at the beginning of the season before having his season ended with the injury in mid-December... Notched an assist in Maine’s game against Providence (11/9).

IN 2006–07: Played in 21 games for the Black Bears in his first season, second-most in the freshman class... Notched his first career point with an assist against UMass Lowell (11/10)... Added an assist on the first goal versus Merrimack (2/24)... Had an assist on Rob Bellamy’s goal against St. Cloud State (3/23) in the NCAA East Regional.

BEFORE MAINE: Played at Culver Academy for coach Al Clark... As captain in 2005-06, he played in 43 games and had 15 goals and 13 assists for 28 points... Had four game-winning goals along with seven power play goals... In 2004-05, had 30 goals and 14 assists in 44 games played... Named Team Most Valuable Player and was also the team leader in goals and assists... Team finished second in the Midwest Prep division.

PERSONAL: Born Oct. 20, 1986... A finance major... Son of Margaret and Kalev de Kastrozza... Has two sisters, Nichole and Kelsie.
