2009: Did not see any game action . . . named a Maine Scholar-Athlete Award winner. 2009 OFFSEASON: Switched from quarterback to defensive back during spring practice.

2008: Did not see any game action … was named a Maine Scholar-Athlete. 2007: Sat out the season as a redshirt … named a Maine Scholar-Athlete Rising Star.

BEFORE MAINE/PERSONAL: Played quarterback and free safety for his father, coach Tom Hinds, at Cony H.S. ... also served two years as captain ... started at quarterback all four years and set the school record for career passing yards ... was a two-time all-conference and three-time all-area selection ... as a freshman quarterback, he helped lead his team to the state playoffs ... also played tennis and was a three-time all-conference player and two-time state championship qualifier ... made his high school’s academic honor roll all four years and was a member of the National Honor Society ... born July 6, 1987 ... son of Tom and Karen Hinds ... a kinesiology & physical education major/sports administration.
