Robyn McFetters (Barrington, R.I.) of the University of Maine Women's Track and Field team was selected America East and ECAC Division-I New England Outdoor Track and Field athlete of the week.
She set a school record at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. last Thursday.
She placed second in the Hammer throw with a mark of 60.50m/198' 5". The previous record holder was herself and it was set in 2013. McFetters now holds the top three spots on the University of Maine Outdoor Track Women's All-Time records in the Hammer throw.
The University of Maine Track and Field teams return to action at the America East Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 2 in Albany, N.Y.
The University of Maine is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2015. In conjunction with this, the athletic department will celebrate 150 student-athletes achievements over the next year.
