FRISCO, Texas – Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has signed center Devin Shore(Ajax, Ontario) to a three-year entry-level contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Shore, Maine's captain, just finished his junior season with the Black Bears, wrapping up a remarkable career. He played in 112 games at Maine, never missing a game the past three years. He scored 34 goals and added 70 assists for 104 points. He led the team in scoring all three season while with the Black Bears.
As a sophomore, Shore was named a Second Team All-American and garnered Hockey East First Team honors. He also earned a spot on the 2013-14 New England Hockey Writers Association Division I All-Star Team. Shore was a three-time Hockey East Player of the Week and earned Hockey East Player of the Month Honors for December a year ago.

Shore also excelled in the classroom at Maine. He was named a Maine Scholar-Athlete Award winner and last month was named to Team Maine, for having the highest grade point average on the men's ice hockey team for the 2014 calendar year. He was also named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team. As a freshman, Shore was named to the Hockey East Academic All-Star Team, which honors the top seven student-athletes by grade point average. In 2014, He was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team. Shore was also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at Maine.
The University of Maine is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2015. In conjunction with this, the athletic department will celebrate 150 student-athletes achievements over the next year.
