Nicholas Sundquist (Windham, Maine) took part in breaking 9 school records over the weekend at the ECAC Swimming Championships.
Sundquist broke 5 solo records and was a part of 4 broken relay team records.
In the 200 Yard freestyle relay the team of Nicholas Sundquist, Shane Kinnon, Matt England, and Justin Hafner broke the school's record for the event, formerly 1:24.83, with a time of 1:23.89. Sundquist's lead-off time of 20.65 breaks the school record for the 50 yard freestyle that was formerly 21.03.
In the 200 Yard IM, Sundquist broke his own school record with a time of 1:50.24 (formerly 1:50.57) in a 10th place finish in the event.
In the 200 Yard Medley Relay, Maine finished 4th and broke the school record, previously 1:32.14, with a time of 1:32.07; the team consisted of Matt England, Peter Tirabassi, Nicholas Sundquist, and Shane Kinnon.
Nick Sundquist also set the school record for 100 Yard Butterfly, formerly 50.42, with a time of 48.60 in his prelim time, and then finished second in the finals with another new record of 48.59.
The oldest school record, the 800 Yard Freestyle relay, was also broken in day two as Sundquist, Coulter Morrill, Tim Edison, and Andrew Majeski broke the previous record of 6:51.03 with a 5th place finish time of 6:48.28. Sundquist also broke his own school record for the 200 Yard free on the lead off time of 1:39.30 (formerly 1:39.86).
Nicholas Sundquist finished second place in the 100 Yard Freestyle, breaking the school record previously set at 46.13 by himself, with a time of 44.99, after already breaking it in the prelims with 45.10.
In the 400 Yard Freestyle relay, Maine finished 9th and set a school record for the event, previously 3:07.21 with a time of 3:06.63; the team consisted of Matt England, Shane Kinnon, Tim Edison, and Nick Sundquist.
