CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The University of Maine men's ice hockey team's season came to an end on Friday night in the Hockey East Tournament quarterfinal round as the Black Bears fell, 5-0, to #17/16 Boston College at Conte Forum.

Boston College took a 1-0 lead less than five minutes into the game and then potted a second goal just 29 seconds later. After a scoreless second period, the Eagles began the final frame by finding an insurance goal 94 seconds into the stanza. BC would go on to add two empty-net goals.

Maine ends its season at 18-14-3 overall.
