Football Announces 2026 Signing Day Signees

Orono, Maine – The University of Maine football announced eight signings from the 2026 signing day for the upcoming season.

Ayden Banker, a native of Averill Park, N.Y., is set to join the Black Bears after his senior year at Averill Park High School. He is a two-time All-State member, three-time All-Star Times Union member, a two-time First Team All-Area member and the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year. He is a one-time Class A Sectional Champion and a three-time runner-up. During his senior season, he recorded 67 tackles, 33 TFL, six sacks, two pass deflections and a touchdown.

Tony Bongomin, a native of Westbrook, Maine, is set to join the Black Bears after his senior year at Westbrook High School. He is a First Team All-Conference member, the 2025 Class B South Defensive Player of the Year, a Fitzpatrick Trophy Finalist and helped lead his team to the 2025 State Championship. During his senior year, he recorded 165 tackles, 15 TFL, seven sacks, two interceptions, forced six fumbles, recovered four fumbles and scored a touchdown.

Ty Boone, a native of Stillwater Lake, Nova Scotia, is set to join the Black Bears after his senior year at Fryeburg Academy. He is a two-time All-Conference member, was named the 2025 Class B North Player of the Year and was a State Champion in 2024. During his two seasons as a starter, he accumulated 2,400 all-purpose yards, 33 touchdowns and four interceptions.

Nate Olson, a native of Mount Desert, Maine, is set to join the Black Bears after his senior year at Mount Desert Island High School. He is a three-time All-Conference member and helped lead his team to a State Championship in 2023.

Ronalon Renwick, a native of Clayton, N.C., has joined the Black Bears after a season at Air Force Prep School. During his time in high school at Cleveland High School, he was a four-time Conference Champion, the 2025 Cleveland High School Athlete of the Year, a 2025 N.C. Shrine Bowl Selection and All-Conference member. He had 71 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and two touchdowns during his senior year.

Corey Rideout, a native of Baltimore, MD, has joined the Black Bears after a season at St. Thomas More School. During his time in high school between Mount Carmel and Saint Frances Academy, he was a two-time All-Conference member.

Austin West, a native of Arundel, Maine, is set to join the Black Bears after his senior year at Kennebunk High School. He is a three-time All-Conference member, a two-time Regional Champion, a one-time State Champion, a one-time All-State honor and the Class B South Player of the Year. He set multiple rushing records during his time in high school as he rushed for 1,647 yards during his senior year. On the defensive side of the ball, he had 64.5 tackles, 15.5 TFL, four sacks and three interceptions, leading to 22 total touchdowns.

Sincere Wilkins, a native of Grayson, N.J., is set to join the Black Bears after his senior year at Fort Lee High School. He is a two-time All-Conference member, leading to an undefeated league championship season during his senior season. In his two years as a starter, he accumulated 63 tackles, 15 TFL and eight sacks.
