ORONO, MAINE - After tallying three points in the last two games, including the both goals in Saturday's win, rookie defender Lulu Rucinski was named Defender of the Week, Hockey East announced Monday.

Lulu Rucinski scored both goals in Saturday's 2-1 win over Holy Cross, both on breakaways. On Tuesday, Rucinski assisted the game-winning goal versus Brown leading the Black Bears to win 3-2. She now leads the Black Bears in points with 10 total. 

This award accounts for the second time Rucinski earned Defender of the Week in her rookie season.
