Maine goes unbeaten on the weekend at 1-0-1.

DENVER – The #15/18 University of Maine men's ice hockey team came back for a 3-3 tie at #6 Denver on Saturday night at Magness Arena.

Frank Djurasevic tied the game on an extra-attacker goal with 2:27 to play (Maine won the shootout, with the game going down as a tie).

For the second consecutive game, Maine opened the scoring when Will Gerrior potted his third goal of the season. Denver scored a power-play goal before the end of the period for a 1-1 scoreline after the opening 20 minutes.

Charlie Russell's unassisted tally midway through the second put the Black Bears back up only to see Denver respond 61 seconds later with another power-play goal. The Pioneers then took a 3-2 lead less than four minutes into the third period before Djurasevic's second goal of the season forced overtime.
