Fox elevated to associate athletic director for business operations

ORONO, Maine – University of Maine director of athletics Jude Killy has announced that Nick Fox has been elevated to the role of associate athletic director for business operations.

 

"Nick has taken like a fish to water in adopting our mission and values," said Director of Athletics Jude Killy. "He has embraced our goal-oriented mindset and management-style, and his communication and follow-up are outstanding. I am pleased that we can elevate Nick and recognize his productivity and efforts."

 

In the role, Fox will lead and assist the Maine Athletics department with the day-to-day operations of the athletics business office. Included with this position will be the responsibility of educating all staff on UMaine's travel policies and procedures, serve as the department's liaison with the UMaine procurement travel office, serve on the America East business officer committee, while also serving as the sport supervisor for men's and women's cross country and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field.

Fox began his tenure at UMaine in July of 2015.

 

He started his role in the UMaine Athletics Business Office as the assistant business manager in 2015. He served a dual role in the business office and as the director of baseball operations from 2016-19. In September of 2022, Fox was promoted to senior staff as the assistant athletic director for business operations. He currently oversees the business office, equipment room, and serves as a sport supervisor for cross country and track & field.

 

Fox, a Brewer native, graduated from UMaine in 2007 with a degree in business administration and a concentration in management. Fox interned with the UMaine ticket office from 2003-05. Upon graduating from UMaine, Fox also interned with the Portland Sea Dogs and was hired as a full time staff member with the Sea Dogs in 2009. Fox worked in team operations for Portland from 2009-15. In 2017, he worked as a travel coordinator for Colombia in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
