Women’s Ice Hockey Signs Eight Incoming Players for the 2025-26 Season

ORONO, ME - Head women's ice hockey coach Molly Engstrom announced the incoming class for the 2025-26 season consisting of eight new players. 

Head Coach Molly Engstrom on the incoming class: "We are looking forward to the addition of the new class. We have our sights set on the next steps for this program and we think this class is a great fit for that vision. Our core continues to grow stronger every year and I'm looking forward to what this class will bring on and off of the ice."

#5 Lulu Rucinski: Rucinski is a defender from Orono, MN who most recently played for Benilde St. Margaret's in Minnesota. She compiled 15 goals and 24 assists for 39 points in 25 games played. 

#10 Camille Dubuc: Edina, MN native, Dubuc, joins the squad as a red-shirt defender for this season. Dubuc played for Edina High School for the past three seasons. In her senior season, she registered five goals and 14 assists for 19 points in 26 games. She also was team captain for her senior year.

#11 Isabelle Michaud: A forward from Drummond, New Brunswick, Michaud comes to Maine after most recently playing for Stanstead College. She scored 29 goals and 34 assists for a total of 63 points in 66 games. Michaud plans to study Sports Management at Maine.

#12 Sade Sandilands: Sade Sandilands, a native of Carstairs, Alberta, most recently played for the Etobicoke Dolphins in the OWHL. The defended notched four goals and 18 assists for 22 points in 40 games. Sandilands was also named to Team Canada's U18 team last Fall.

#17 Ali Altiman: Ali Altiman, a Thamesville, Ontario native, will join the forwards squad after captaining the London Devilettes (OWHL) last season. Altiman scored 13 goals and eight assists for 21 points in 40 games. Altiman plans to study Criminal Justice at Maine.

#20 Mackenzie Podewell: A forward from Wheaton, IL, Mackenzie Podewell joins the sleuth after playing for Chicago Mission the past two seasons. Podewell ended her strong senior season with four points (3g, 1a) in four games of the U19 National Tournament. Podewell plans to study Biomedical Engineering at Maine.

#28 Paige Fong: Paige Fong will head to Orono for the upcoming season joining the defensive squad for the Black Bears. Fong put up six goals and 14 assists for 20 points in 41 games for the Whitby Wolves (OWHL). Fong hails from Pickering, Ontario and plans to study Business/Sports Management at Maine.

#29 Darragh Browne: Browne, a forward from Oakville, Ontario, joins the Black Bears after most recently playing for the Burlington Barracudas (OWHL). Browne registered nine goals and 19 assists for 27 points in 37 games last season. Browne plans to study Elementary Education at Maine.
