Preview: Maine to open Outdoor Season at Raleigh Relays

Orono, ME - The University of Maine track and field programs will compete in the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State from Thursday March 27 through Saturday March 29.
Maine will be sending a total of 30 athletes to this event, some of those athletes will include Cheyenne Figueroa who is coming off her 2nd America East Championship in the Weight Throw event. Coach Ward believes that Cheyenne will translate that success into the Outdoor season as she transitions into the Hammer Throw event. Kelcie Horst will be competing in three different events which are the 200, the 400 and the 4x100 and will lead a young group of sprinters into the first outdoor event of the season. For the men, Luke Marsanskis will be competing in the 10000m event after finishing in 2nd place during the America East Indoor Championships in the 5000m, as well as Conner Michaud who will be competing in the 400h after finishing in 3rd place in the 400 and 2nd place in the 4x400.
