AMHERST, Mass. – The #6 University of Maine men's ice hockey team earned a 6-2 road win at #13/12 UMass on Thursday night at the Mullins Center.

Josh Nadeau had a four-point night, recording a hat trick and adding an assist, while
Owen Fowler finished with three helpers.

The first period played out quietly until the final 90 seconds when Maine scored two goals in a 16-second span. Nadeau scored shorthanded and then
Brandon Holt wristed home his second of the year.
Just 28 seconds into the second period,
Justin Poirier's power-play tally pushed Maine's lead to three goals. After UMass got on the board, Nadeau recorded a goal to end the second and a goal to open the third to complete his hat trick. UMass would score once more but
Miguel Marques capped the night with his third of the season with less than five minutest to play.
