CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team fell to #11 Boston College on Sunday at Conte Forum Arena, 5-0.
After a scoreless first period, Maine ran into penalty trouble in the second period giving up two even-strength goals and two powerplay goals.
Maine goaltender Kiia Lahtinen started and played the first 40 minutes, making 24 saves on 28 shots. Goaltender Julia Bachetti saw action in the third period, her first time playing in 17 games, letting up just one goal.
Shots on goal were 34 to 29, in favor of the Eagles. Adriana van de Leest led the Black Bears with six shots on goal.

Maine will travel to Harvard University for a single non-conference game on Friday, Jan.10 at Bright-Landry Hockey Center in Cambridge, Mass. Puck drop is set for 3:00 pm.
