ORONO, Maine – The #6 University of Maine men's ice hockey team earned a 3-1 win over Northeastern on Friday night at Alfond Arena.

Taylor Makar scored two goals while
Josh Nadeau and
Frank Djurasevic had two assists each.

Owen Fowler put Maine up less than two minutes into the second period with a short-handed goal. The Huskies responded four minutes later but Makar tipped home a Djurasevic shot in the final 30 seconds of the frame for a 2-1 lead after two. Makar sealed the 3-1 win with an empty-net goal in the final minute of play.
