ORONO, Maine - Goaltender Julia Bachetti of the University of Maine women's ice hockey team was named the 'Stop It Goaltending' Goaltender of the Week, Hockey East announced Monday.

Bachetti backstopped the Black Bears in the weekend sweep of New Hampshire, making 50 saves between the two games. Bachetti's weekend save percentage was .926 after making 50 saves on 54 shots faced. Julia Bachetti's record moves to 4-4-1 this season (11-14-1 overall), as the sophomore has started in the last five games for Maine, earning four wins.

This Hockey East award accounts for her first one this season. Bachetti earned Rookie of the Week twice last season (Nov. 20, 2023, Dec. 4, 2023), and Goaltender of the Month once in her freshman season (Dec 2023).

Maine travels for two conference games this weekend - at Providence, Jan 31 and at Holy Cross, Feb 1.
