Orono, ME - The University of Maine women's and men's cross country teams are set to compete in the Maine State Meet on Saturday Sept 21. The meet will be held in Auburn, Maine at Roy's Disc Golf Course, hosted by Bates College. The women are set to start at 10:30 am, while the men are scheduled to start shortly after at 11:30 am.
This meet will include the University of Maine, Bates College, University of Maine at Farmington, Bowdoin College, University of Maine at Presque Isle, Maine Maritime Academy, Colby College, and Thomas College.
Men's Competitors to Watch:
Kaleb Colson - Colson will compete in his first event in the 2024 season this weekend. The freshman is looking to start his 2024 season off strong this weekend in the Maine State Meet.
Women's Competitors to Watch:
Searcy Mooney - Mooney is competing in her second event of the season this weekend. The freshman competed in the University of Vermont Invitational finishing with a time of 20:26.2 in her 5k back on August 31. Look for her to build off of this performance this weekend.
