ORONO, Maine – Charlie Collins finished first overall in Maine's season opening meet as the Black Bears fell to visiting Army, 26-29, on Friday afternoon.

Collins finished with the best overall time at 24:52.1. Ned Farrington finished third at 25:09.9 while Logan Ross rounded out Maine's top 3 finishers with a sixth place showing of 25:44.1.

The men's program will travel to Burlington, VT to compete in the University of Vermont Invitational Saturday afternoon.
