AMESBURY, Mass. – Twenty-four members of the 2023-34 University of Maine men's ice hockey team have been named to this year's Hockey East All-Academic Team, as announced on Tuesday by the league. Each student-athlete on the All-Academic Team achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or better in each of the two academic periods during which he was actively competing.

Brandon Holt and
Thomas Freel were named to the Hockey East All-Academic All-Star Team for compiling the highest GPA at their position for the 2023-24 season.

Additionally,
Ben Poisson earned All-Academic team honors for the fifth consecutive year while five Black Bears were honored for the second time in their careers.
