Vermont Trips Up Maine in Hockey East Action

The Catamounts picked up a 2-1 win at Gutterson Fieldhouse.

BURLINGTON, Vt. – The University of Vermont topped the #9 University of Maine men's hockey team, 2-1, on Friday night at Gutterson Fieldhouse.
 
The Catamounts scored early in the first period for a 1-0 lead that would hold until midway through the third stanza. Harrison Scott's end-to-end goal evened things up, 1-1, but Vermont responded two minutes later for the 2-1 final.
