Men's Swim & Dive break three records on day two of AE Championships

Lexington, Va. -- The University of Maine men's swim & dive team broke three school records on day two of the America East swimming & diving championships, hosted by the Virginia Military Institute.

The Black Bears stand in sixth place with 158 points after two days of competition.

Maine's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Finn Devers, Cam Watelet, Julian Lapietra, and Max Ginsburg broke the school record in the event with a time of 1:21.65.

Kaden Kilger came home seventh in the 500-yard freestyle event, with a final time of 4:37.83. Kilger's mark of 4:35.80 in the prelim earlier in the day broke Maine's school record in the event.

Cam Watelet came home fifth in the 50-yard freestyle at 20.18. Earlier in the day, Watelet's mark of 20.13 set a new school record for the Black Bears in the event.

Lapietra also scored in the 50-yard freestyle, taking 12th overall in the b-final at 20.94.
