ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey fell to #13 Boston University 3-1 on Friday at Alfond Arena.
After a scoreless first frame, the Terriers capitalized on a powerplay opportunity in the second period to take the lead. A few minutes later, Maine responded with a powerplay goal by freshman
Kendall Sundby, for her second of the season.Â
The Terriers snuck in a game-winning goal just under the halfway mark of the third period. Maine pulled their goalie for an extra attacker, but BU found the empty net to seal the win.Â
Kiia Lahtinen made 35 saves for the Black Bears.
