Hockey East tabs Lynden Breen Hockey East Co-Player of the Week

Breen recorded his first career hat trick and added an assist for a four-point game on Saturday.

AMESBURY, Mass. – University of Maine forward Lynden Breen has been named the Hockey East Co-Player of the Week, as announced on Monday by the league.
 
Breen recorded his first career hat trick and added an assist for a four-point game in Maine's 6-0 win at RPI on Saturday afternoon. Boston University's Shane LaChance was the other co-player of the week with four points on two goals and two assists over the weekend.
 
The Saint John's, New Brunswick native had a plus-3 rating, four shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's victory.
 
Breen recorded an assist on the game-winning goal in the first period and then went on to record a natural hat trick with one goal in the second period and two goals in the third period. It was the third hat trick by a Hockey East player this season.
 
This marks Breen's third career Hockey East Player of the Week honor and first this season.
