Men's Cross Country

Marsanskis takes home 1st place as Cross Country competes in America East Championships

St. Albans, VT. - The University of Maine's Cross Country program competed in the America East Cross Country Championships on Saturday. The Men took home 2nd place with a total of 64 points.

Senior, Luke Marsanskis took home 1st place overall with a final time of 23:51.75. This was Marsanskis' first America East individual title and captured Maine's first individual title since 2016. Marsanskis was named to the America East All Conference 1st Team. This is Marsanskis' second 1st place finish of the season with his first one coming back on Oct 11, in the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup hosted by Franklin Pierce University.

Charlie Collins also finished in the top 10 at 6th overall, the second best time for Maine. Collins finished with a time of 24:23.97 and was also named to the America East All Conference 1st Team.

Ned Farrington rounded out the top three finishers for Maine finishing 7th place overall. Farrington finished with a time of 24:27.76 which also earned him a spot on the America East All Conference 1st Team.

The Black Bears will return to action in two weeks when they take on the NCAA Regionals.
