A 12-0 first quarter run for the Black Bears began on triples from Rockwood and Blauenfeldt. A pair of buckets followed from Blauenfeldt and Caroline Dotsey ran the lead to eight before Paula Gallego's bucket in the paint gave Maine a double-digit advantage. Two Blauenfeldt free throws gave Maine it's largest lead of the game, 21-9.

The Terriers battled back, outscoring Maine 18-6 in the second quarter to carry a 29-27 lead into the half.

Boston University continued its sprint, putting together a 7-0 run early in the third quarter to extend its lead to 36-29.

Another triple from Blauenfeldt started a 6-0 run for the Black Bears who found themselves trailing by five with 6:09 on the clock.
