ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine women's basketball team fell to visiting Harvard, 83-41, on Sunday afternoon in Memorial Gymnasium.

Caroline Bornemann guided Maine with 14 points and seven rebounds, extending her double-digit scoring streak to four-straight, while
Sarah Talon added 10 points and three boards.

Harvard finished the game 29-of-55 from the floor (52.7) and forced 26 Maine turnovers while the Black Bears shot 14-of-39 (35.9).

After Maine jumped out to a 7-2 lead, the Crimson answered with a 21-0 run to take a 23-7 edge late in the first quarter.

After Bornemann's bucket inside the paint cut the lead to 13, Harvard responded with a 7-0 run to extend the lead to 20.

Harvard ended the half on an 18-3 run to carry a 52-17 advantage into the break.

The Black Bears were unable to close the gap in the second half, falling by a final of 83-41.

Maine returns to action on Thursday when it travels to meet Boston University at 6 p.m.
