ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine cross country standout
Luke Marsanskis has qualified to compete at the NCAA Championships, hosted by the University of Wisconsin, as announced on Saturday evening on the NCAA Men's Cross Country Selection Show.
Marsanskis, who becomes the first Black Bear to qualify for the NCAA Championships since Kelton Cullenberg earned the honor in 2013, will compete on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 11:10 a.m. EST. The event will be held at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course in Verona, Wis. The event will be broadcast on ESPNU.
Marsanskis recently won the America East Championship with a time of 23:51.8 on the 8k course before taking seventh at the NCAA Division-I Northeast Regional with a mark of 30:07.5 at the 10k event.
