Orono, ME - The University of Maine Cross Country programs are set to compete at the America East Championships in Vermont on Saturday Nov 2.

The women will take on the 5k course starting at 11am and the men will take on the 8k course at 12pm.

Men's Runners to Watch:

Luke Marsanskis: Marsanskis this season has two top 7 finishes which included a 1st place overall finish at the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup back on Oct. 11. Marsanskis has also captured to America East Male Performer of the Week awards for these two performances. Marsanskis was also named to the America East Runners to Watch list which was announced earlier this week.

Charlie Collins: Collins this season finished first overall against Army back on Aug 30. Collins won the America East's Male Performer of the Week after that performance against Army.

Women's Runners to Watch:

Ryan O'Connor: O'Connor in her first season with the Black Bears, finished in the top 10 in two events this season. The Maine-Army meet on Aug 30, she finished 5th overall and in the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup back on Oct 11, finished 9th overall. O'Connor also won the America East Female Rookie of the Week after finishing with a carer best time in the Gans Creek Invitational back on Sept 27.

Lydia Gilmore: Gilmore, in her senior season took home two top 10 finishes this season. She finished in 10th during the Maine-Army meet back on Aug 30 and finished in 5th at the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup back on Oct 11.
