Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine men's cross country team placed 10th with 271 points at the Battle in Beantown on Friday afternoon.

Alex Troxell led the team with a 37th place finish, crossing the line at 24:54.5. Troxell was followed by Evan Thornton-Sherman who came home 42nd at 25:02.1. Luke Marsanskis placed 45th in the event with a time of 25:08.8.

Maine returns to action on Friday, Oct. 13 when it competes at the IC4A/ECAC Championships.
