Orono, Maine – University of Maine Athletics and its multimedia rights partner, Van Wagner, has announced that it will televise three of Maine's home football games. These select games will air live on WVII ABC 7 and WFVX FOX 22 Bangor.
 
"I am very happy to be broadcasting these games locally," FOX/ABC general manager Mike Palmer says. "We are a small company, local broadcasters, and we've not lost sight of the fact that we serve real local homes and are proud to bring local products to our viewers. What could be more local than our own University of Maine."
 
The first broadcast of the season will take place on Maine's home opening weekend when the Black Bears host Rhode Island on Sept. 16 at 3:30 p.m. Maine's Homecoming game will air live on FOX 22 when the Black Bears take on Long Island University on Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. The Black Bears will wrap up the 2023 fall broadcast slate when they host Hampton on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 1 p.m.
