Orono, ME - University of Maine track and field athlete, Evan Thornton-Sherman is set to compete at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon on July 6 - 9. 

USA Track & Field (USATF) is the National Governing Body for track and field, long distance running, and race walking in the United States. Thornton-Sherman will be representing Maine in the 1500m and 5000m races. 

Coming to Maine from St. Johnsbury High School, Thornton-Sherman had a strong first season as a Black Bear. He earned second on Maine's all-time top-10 list in the 5000m with a time of 14:16.94.
