Women’s Track and Field Compete at UMass Flagship Opener

Amherst, MA - The University of Maine track and field team placed ninth at the UMass Flagship Opener meet with 34 points.
Mackenzie Wilson and Julia Feid each brought home a first place finish in their respective events. Wilson in the hammer (57.99m) and Feid in the javelin (42.69m).
In the triple jump, Emma White placed second with an ending mark of 11.52m.
Maine had some impressive outings in the shot put with Paige Boudreau placing fifth (12.48m) and Stella Inman not far behind in seventh (12.32m).
Inman also placed fourth in the discus with a mark of 42.65m.
In the hammer, Cheyenne Figueroa placed seventh with a throw of 49.30m.
Yasmen Farag placed eighth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.35m.
