Amherst, MA - The University of Maine men's track and field team competed at UMass and earned multiple top five finishes.
Jason Santa Cruz placed first in the javelin with a mark of 60.81m which also placed him ninth on Maine's all-time top-10 list. Tanner Burton also brought home a first place finish for Maine in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15:28 which ties him for eighth on Maine's all-time top-10 list.
Nathan Holst-Grubbe had a strong day for the Black Bears earning second, fourth, and fifth place finishes on the day. Second in the hammer (58.86m), fourth in the discus (46.84m), and fifth in the shot put 15.15m.
In the pole vault, Nick Brown placed third (4.10m).
Maine had two more fourth place finishes from Alec Troxell in the 1500m (3:52.87) and Ben Cotton in the 100m (11.20).
