
Mackenzie Wilson Sets School Record in Hammer Throw at Holy Cross Invitational

Worcester, MA - Senior, Mackenzie Wilson set a new University of Maine record in the hammer throw coming in first in the event with a mark of 61.58, moving up to first on Maine's all-time top-10 list.
The University of Maine women's track and field team had many impressive performances at the Holy Cross Invitational placing second with 89 points.
Jessica Kroushl had an impressive day coming in third in the 100m with a time of 12.10 that tied her for fifth on Maine's all-time top-10 list. Kroushl also placed fourth in the 200m (25.54).
Ashley Martinez placed first in the high jump with a mark of 1.65m.
In the pole vault, Yasmen Farag placed second in the pole vault (3.50m).
Maine had two third place finishes including Grace Minkin in the long jump (5.45m) and Emma White in the triple jump (11.30m).
The Black Bears had many strong performances in the shot put. Paige Boudreau placed second (13.03m) and moved to sixth on Maine's all-time top-10 list. Stella Inman placed third (12.57m) and became tenth on Maine's all-time top-10 list. Lastly, Clauida Damboise placed fifth with a 12.04m mark.
Cheyenne Figueroa placed second in the hammer right behind Wilson, with a mark of 54.67m.
Julia Feid placed first in the Javelin throwing to 40.59m.
