Men’s Track & Field Finish Second at UMass

Amherst, MA - The University of Maine men's track and field team finished in second at UMass Commonwealth Invite with 110 points.

Jon Prell had an impressive outing placing first in the shot put with a mark of 16.60m placing him third on Maine's all-time top-10 list.

In the hammer throw, Lewis Roebuck placed first (58.37m) and Nathan Holst-Grubbe placed second (57.53m). Holst-Grubbe also had a first place finish in the discus (48.42m).

Maine had two more first place finishes from Cole Martin in the 100m (10.75) and Ben Cotton in the long jump (6.68m).

The Black Bears had three third place finishes in different events. Josh Sewell in the 400m (49.61), Conner Michaud in the 400m hurdles (56.06), and Jason Santa Cruz throwing the javelin at 54.54m.
