Men’s Track & Field Earn Second Place After Day One at New England Championships

Boston, MA - The University of Maine men's track and field team sits in second place with 17 points after four of twenty events scored at the New England Championships.

Fisher Macklin led the Black Bears earning second place in the 5000m run coming in at a time of 14:55.46.

In the weight throw, Ryker Brown placed fifth with a mark of 17.43m.

Ben Cotton also had a strong performance for Maine earning seventh place in the long jump landing at 17.43m.

Lastly on the day, the 4000 distance medley relay team finished in sixth with a time of 10:12.12 by Alec Troxell, Owen Mild, Evan Thornton-Sherman, and Samuel Mills.
