Men's Hockey Skates to Third Straight Tie

DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of Maine men's ice hockey team tied the University of New Hampshire Wildcats, 0-0, on Saturday evening in the Whittemore Center.
Regulation was skated to a scoreless tie. The 5:00 minute overtime period was also skated to a 0-0 tie. UNH won the shootout, 1-0, and claimed the extra point.
Notes: Victor Ostman saved 27 shots in net for the Black Bears, while Tyler Muszelik stopped 29 shots between the pipes for New Hampshire.
Maine went 0 for 2 on the power play, as the Wildcats were 0-3 on their player advantages.
Next: The Black Bears return to the ice next Friday, February 24 for a weekend series at home against Boston College. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
