Jorden Mattison Named Hockey East Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week

Orono, ME - The Hockey East Association announced on Monday that University of Maine goalie Jorden Mattison was named the Conferences Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week for her shutout victory over Merrimack College.

Jorden Mattison, a third year student from Fenwick, Ontario, Canada helped lead the Black Bears to a 1-0 shutout victory over Merrimack on Feb. 10. Mattison earned 27 total saves with 12 saves in the first, nine in the second, and completed the shutout with six saves in the third. This was her third recorded shutout of the season. Mattison has played in 12 games for Maine this season and has a record of 6-6-0. This is Mattison's second time this season earning this award.

Mattison and the rest of the Black Bears will return home for a series against Merrimack, the last games of the regular season for the Black Bears. The first game will take place on Feb. 17 at 6:00 p.m. with a 'Skate With the Bears' event to follow post game. Feb. 18 at 2:00 p.m. our next game will take place where we will honor our Seniors for their Senior Night.
