Boston, MA - The University of Maine men's track and field team had many strong performances at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational including two top twenty finishes.

Jonathan Prell led the Black Bears in the shot put with a mark of 15.14m, placing eleventh. The other top twenty finish came from Ben Cotton who placed seventeenth in the long jump with a mark of 6.51m.

In the 1600 relay Owen Mild, Josh Sewell, Eamon Sweeney, and Conner Michaud placed twenty fourth with a time of 3:20.91.

Fisher Macklin had an impressive performance in the 3000 run coming in at a time of 8:34.27, placing twenty fifth.
